NGOs

The Project establishes mutually beneficial partnerships through which NGOs committed to rural community development can achieve their mission through environmental activities and PGH can access social networks allowing it to reach diverse groups of the population.

PGH shares the network of Isha, its methodology and its environmental expertise with other NGOs. The project offers NGOs potential sources of employment and income generation whilst at the same time opening up new sources of human resources for PGH itself.

Examples of successful NGO joint ventures are:

Eranda Foundation, UK - has commissioned PGH to complete the planting of 65,000 trees in villages below the poverty line in partnership with IRDC, a local NGO already involved in the villages.

OAZONE - a state level NGO involved in rural development already participating in environmental care through water management projects, have developed a 100,000 sapling nursery through self help groups thus creating livelihood opportunities for women.
